Passage 32 Five Fingers
Five fingers are brothers. One day, they have a quarrel. Every one says he has good ability.
The thumb says,“People use me when they praisesomething."
The index finger says, "People use me to command."
None of them thinks himself is weak. At that time, a ballcomes. He smiles when he hears their quarrel. He says, “You will be the strongest one if you hold me up."
The thumb tries his best to hold the ball up, but he fails. The index finger,the middle finger and the ltte finger try to do the same thing. But they fail, too.
“If you work together, you can hold me up," the ball says.
Then five brothers hold the ball up together.
