Ned Ostojic has an unusual job. He travels the world to assist with odor problems. He has consulted with pet food companies, waste treatment plants, and other problem sites. First, he uses his nose to discover and evaluate smell. Then, he uses his degree in chemistry to find a solution. In one case he recommended that a waste treatment plant pump air through large tubes. The tubes contained absorbent carbon. The plant was soon cleared of odors. One plant worker called him a "silent hero”.
